Hey there! I'm Chia En (Vivian) Chiang
I’m currently an MEng (master of engineering) student in the EECS (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) department at the University of California, Berkeley. Besides my study, I’m working on a data recommendation system - DakoData. The startup has recently been selected to join the Google Taiwan Project Hatcher Mentorship Program. I implement APIs on Docker Containers hosted on Google Cloud Platform and build React front-end components in this project. Now, I am focusing on optimizing the infrastructure of the system.
Last year, I worked at IBM as an Application Developer. In this role, I designed a real-time tracking system to prevent the banking system from overloading. Furthermore, I built tableau dashboards for data analysis with administration control on the server-side. Before joining IBM, I got my internship at Microsoft as a technician assistant intern. I helped install and configure the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) system and solved the broken texture of the signature in OneNote.
I love to do Olympic weightlifting in my spare time and won first place in several competitions in the women's 49kg category. Furthermore, I love to help people in need. Before moving to California, I was an Emergency Medical Technician, working as a volunteer in Taipei Fire Station. If you feel like having a chat, please feel free to contact me.
